The Dublin School of Grinds provides weekly 1st Year grinds in Maths, which are 75 minutes in duration and are held in a class-based environment. Our grinds give students a head-start before their classes get streamed in their day school.

Weekly grinds also include a special one-on-one service to all students, for a period of time before or after every class. This is a specialised, individual service, which we encourage all our students to take advantage of.

The foundation of our weekly grinds is ‘exam focus’ Our teachers strip away the unnecessary sections of each subject, and focus solely on the core, examinable material, the aim of which is increasing students’ exam performance.

The 1st Year Maths grinds cover what is called the Common Introductory Course for 1st Year Mathematics, which is the recommended topics by the Department of Education. This provides a comprehensive and solid basis for the further study of Maths in 2nd Year and 3rd Year. Our tailored course follows the objectives of the Project Maths Syllabus, where the understanding and development of skills are of equal importance.

Our 1st Year Maths teacher is a Project Maths expert, and is known for his ability to relate to young students and to give kids a new lease of life and confidence in their Maths.

Weekly grinds commence the week of Monday 5th September. If you have any queries, feel free to call us in the office on 01-442 4442.

Update: From September 2016, weekly grinds will take place in two new locations. Weekly grinds on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays will take place in Kill of the Grange National School, Deansgrange (located on the 46A bus route). Weekly grinds on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays will take place in Alexandra College, Milltown (located on the LUAS Green Line).
